O'Hare International Airport
Chicago O'Hare International Airport is located 20
miles northwest of downtown Chicago. One of the world's busiest
airports, ORD is a hub of national air transportation in the
United States. Recently O'Hare has been voted "Best Airport
in North America" by international travelers.

Airport
Terminals
Chicago O'Hare International Airport is presently using four
terminals (Terminals 1, 2, 3 and the International Terminal
5). Each serves several airlines and a large number of destinations.
Each terminal is well served by restaurants, bars, newsstands
and shops. Business services, banks and ATMs are available
and airline club lounges cater to the needs of frequent flyers.
Car
Parking
Chicago O'Hare International Airport operates hourly, daily
and valet parking in a central location between Terminals
1, 2 and 3. Parking is also available near the International
Terminal.
Parking prices start at $3.00 the first hour close to the
terminals, with long-term parking starting at $8.00/day. The
airport can be reached from the long-term parking lots by
shuttles and the Airport Transit System.
Car
Rental
Chicago O'Hare International Airport provides easy access
to car rentals, with the primary rental firms located in the
lower level of Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. International
Terminal 5 passengers can access rental car courtesy boards
in the lower level of the terminal to arrange for pickup from
rental agencies.

Ground
Transportation
Chicago O'Hare International Airport is served directly by taxi,
rail, shared-ride van and bus. A taxi ride to downtown takes
around 35 minutes in easy flowing traffic and costs around $30.
Transfers to/from the terminals are made by the Airport Transit
System (ATS), which is quick, convenient and free. The ATS is
also used to reach the Metra station and long-term parking.
The Chicago Transit Authority's (CTA) Blue Line travels between
O'Hare and downtown Chicago. The station can be reached from
Terminals 1, 2 and 3 by pedestrian tunnels. The fare is $1.50
to ride and travel time is 45 minutes to the Loop in downtown
Chicago. |
