Route 66 Raceway
The first true 'Stadium of Drag Racing', the $20 million Route 66 Raceway opened in May 1998 and provides thrilling entertainment for all types of racing enthusiasts.

Just 30 miles (48 kilometers) southwest of downtown Chicago, the Raceway is a multi-purpose, short-track facility that includes a state-of-the-art drag strip and a half-mile (three quarter-kilometer) clay oval, surrounded by stadium-style seating.

Route 66 hosts a wide variety of entertaining events, including National Hot Rod Association Winston Drag Racing National events, Pennzoil World of Outlaw shows, Demolition Derbies, USAC National Sprint and Midget shows, car shows and concerts.
