Field Museum of Natural History
The Field Museum of Natural History was originally established to house a collection of important historical and natural objects from the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition. The collection has grown from this base and is exhibited in several large halls on the Chicago Lakeshore. It is widely regarded as among the best museums in the USA.

Key exhibits and collections include the largest and most complete Tyrannosaur fossil yet discovered, African natural history and North American Indians exhibits across a range of cultural and anthropological subjects.

Throughout the year, special exhibits visit the museum and provide insight into a variety of important cultural and historical areas. In early 2002, the mysteries of ancient Egypt are revealed in the Cleopatra special exhibit.
