Opened in 1953, the Baháí House of Worship has attracted more than five million
people who have enjoyed the building's exquisitely beautiful architecture and the
peaceful serenity of the surrounding gardens.
The dome of the Baháí House of Worship rises 135 feet (41 meters) above the
auditorium, which is decorated with breathtakingly intricate filigree-work
and offers visitors the opportunity for quiet reflection and meditation.
The Baháí House of Worship has been on the National Register of Historic
Places since 1978.
